I know what you are thinking... me too. What on earth is an eenfluencer? And who is Tom Gooderson? Well eezeer is a new social network that features tweets and location-verified reviews related to travel. I tweeted about Liverpool airport, and they noticed and featured it. (Tom Gooderson is another twitterer who got mentioned as the top influencer, but other than that he is a red herring for the purposes of this blog. Mind you, I am tempted to write about why he is ranked higher than me despite tweeting the same number of tweets. I don't have time though.)

To be honest, I wasn't sure how useful my recent tweet at the airport would be for a serious review and information sharing website, since the tweet itself was clearly tongue-in-cheek;
Delayed. Departures screen says pilot slept in. Apologies for any inconvenience.
But on closer inspection, they had picked up on a 37 week old tweet about security;
So perhaps I could be an eenfluence on the travel industry as the good people of Liverpool Airport will rest on their laurels because of their fabulous security, and the good travellers of the world will use LPL as their hub since the security is so fabulous.
It's just a pity that the 37 week old tweet reveals a 37 week old opinion. I am no longer so enamoured of LPL security. In fact I was moved to search out a manager to complain on Saturday, an action only prevented by my innate British aversion to making a scene. I queued for what felt like an eternity to get through a backlog of people going through the metal scanner gate thing... because the security agents were not asking people to remove their belts... beep! Or their shoes... beep! Or their overcoats... beep! Or their ENORMOUS BUNCH OF KEYS THAT THEY WERE OBVIOUSLY CARRYING IN THEIR HANDS... BEEP!
So I might be a top eenfluence, but I don't think I'm an eenfluence for good!
