It was one of those days that looks absolutely beautiful and should be really good but things just go wrong.
It started to go wrong with an innocent trip to the loo. Apologies readers this will get graphic... You have to picture the scene first of all, which shouldn't be too difficult for most people. It was a small cubicle at work. The kind that was designed in an age when people were smaller. The kind of cubicle that even svelt people like myself find it hard to get into and shut the door without climbing onto the toilet. So you picture the scene. I had done the business and leaned down to pull up my trousers before flushing when I heard a clatter as my security pass popped out of its little plastic holder hanging from my neck and fell to the floor. But where did my name badge go? It was nowhere to be seen, until I thought to check the bowl. Enough said.
After emailing the relevant member of staff asking for a new badge i headed home to hang the washing on the line. I always love a warm sunny day for drying clothes on the line. It makes me feel all environmentally friendly. Of course the environment doesn't benefit much when half an hour later you discover that the line has snapped and your clothes are lying in a heap on the ground covered in grit and dust and creatures, and you have to wash them again!
Im on a train to London as I write this. Just wait til you see the "window" seat. I've taken a photograph which I'll upload next time im at a real computer.
Finally a lesson for my blog buddies to learn from my mistakes. If you wash your hands with one of those antibacterial gel things before eating, when you are on a train for example, don't lick your fingers at the end - it totally spoils your meal!
Ciao for now!
