Capital of Coldness

For those of you who worried that my life would be a little less full now that Liverpool is no longer Europe's Capital of Culture, fear not. The city has clearly taken on a new mantle: the Capital of Coldness.

I knew it was going to be cold when we got home last night, but nothing could really prepare me for waking up at 4am because my face was so cold! I could not have been more grateful for the throws Dad bought me for Christmas. Yes indeed my house has changed into an igloo over the holiday due to a lack of all heat producing activities... no oven baking, no kettle boiling, no computer thinking... only a few lonley hours of heating to prevent pipes freezing.

Well Dee and I have been doing our best to address the crisis... the boiler is blasting on full, the dryer has hardly stopped, tvs and computers have been on. I'm sure it wont be too long before we are a net exporter of heat.

Recommended music for this blog: Chris Montez - the more I see you.

  1. Oh whoop whoop congratulations on starting a blog! I had added you to my list of favourites already :D

Sorry it was so cold when you got home - hope the place is well warmed up now. I'm just back to work today and its FREEZING in here too.
