Hello there! Where did you come from?

Two mysterious events to report. I think I'll tackle them in chronological order.

Mystery Number One

I made Shepherd's Pie earlier in the week. It was delicious, but not quite delicious enough. I thought a nice splash of HP sauce would do the trick just nicely. Quick rummage in the cupboard... back to the table... shake the bottle... squeeze...

What came out was rather too watery for my liking. It was so watery in fact that I was prompted to check the date on the bottle. Perhaps it was a few months out of date. As I suspected, it was. 107 months to be precise. Yes indeed, the bottle was out of date in April 2000! What the flip!?!? I've only lived in this house 3 years. I've only lived on this island for 7 years. How did a 9 year old bottle of HP sauce find its way into my cupboard??

Mystery Number Two

Checking my emails tonight I had one from myself at work. I often send off a quick email to myself if I want to remind myself to do something at home. Up in the top corner of the email was a wee picture of me. Hello? Where did that come from? I didnt ask outlook to put me there! Whats going on? Not sure why the pic below is so fuzzy, but you get the idea.

By the way, in case you were worried about my shepherds pie, you'll be relieved to know that it wasn't ruined. I had put the sauce on the side of the plate. I skillfully transferred portions of the pie that had not touched sauce onto a fresh plate. Total disaster averted.
